3 months
The changes from month 2 to month 3 are amazing! Lew is officially an infant this month! Gone are the days of "ohs" and other newborn stuff. She is much more active and aware of her environment now. Cooing, squealing, and moving those arms and legs with excitement are her new MO when conversing with us and her toys. She is acquiring quite the bald ring in the back of her head from moving her head all around, taking in her little world. Daddy says her hairline is starting to look like "Kimbo Slice." She studies her chubby hands, clasps them together and sucks on her fist-she is so close to finding her thumb! Still not a fan of tummy time but will quickly prop herself up like a little cobra when we lay her down, rolling to her back once in a while. She continues to be super smiley and still cat naps during the day. We are really going to have to work on setting up a nap schedule in the coming weeks! She sleeps well at night. Usually asleep sometime between 8-10pm, up between 2-4am to eat and right back to sleep. Up to eat again sometime between 6-8am and will sometimes sleep a little longer. Our little girl has been in size 2 diapers for about 2 weeks now and wears 3-6 month and some 6 month outfits. Her feet are tiny. She still fits her 1 pair of newborn shoes. She did a great job with her 3 month/Christmas pics (on the 2nd try) and we are looking forward to sharing them as Christmas gifts this year. A baby indeed changes everything; sleep, pastimes, eating habits, hobbies, conversation, marriage, friendships and on and on and on. I love this new mommy role. I love this little person God has blessed us with. A new part of my heart and soul has come alive! Thank you Father for the gift of our sweet baby girl. Thank you Father for becoming a sweet little baby for all of us!So Thankful

4)Friends that "sharpen" me and love me at all times

2 months
I'm 2 months old and growing like a weed! I have now rolled over from my belly to my back 6 times during tummy time-I still have no idea I am doing this but the cheers from mommy and daddy are great! I like to suck on my hands during tummy time and I can lift my head pretty well now -head size is in the 90th percentile by the way. Here are my other stats: weight -13 lbs 5 oz landing me in the 97th percentile! Length-only about the 30th percentile. Short and stout-that's me! and I really do pour out if you tip me over ! I love to smile-I gave mommy my first smile at 4 1/2 weeks, although it may have been gas. I definitely gave daddy 3 consecutive smiles at 5 weeks which made him melt of course and now I dish out smiles left and right to everyone (if my sleep bank and belly are full). I'm working on my sleep schedule. Bedtime is usually between 10:30pm and 11:00pm. I sleep for about 6-7 hrs in my swing. Once in awhile my growling belly wakes me up to eat around 4 or 5am. I'm a cat napper if not in my swing. I love sleeping on my belly but decided to sleep face down in the mattress once so mommy put an end to the belly napping for now. I can't wait to sit in my bumbo seat, mommy says maybe in one more month. I'm not sure why Mommy calls me Narcissus...I can't take my eyes off of myself in the mirror ! My daddy and I are super silly together. He makes me dance and makes all kinds of crazy faces and voices at me. I'm trying to work up a great big belly laugh for him so I can make him feel like Jim Carey, not sure when I'll decide to make his day. Until next time!
6 weeks
I'm becoming more aware of my environment and I'm relying on my soothie a little less. I am content to lay in my crib or sit in my bouncer for a little while making noises and looking around. I've had 2 nights where I've gone to bed around 1am and have slept until 7:00/7:30am. Mommy is thankful for nights like that. A fluke thing happened last night, mommy was napping and daddy laid me down for tummy time. He put my little hands close together under my chest and the next thing he knew, I rolled over to my back! I have found my hands and I put them in my mouth when I'm on my tummy, although I don't realize they are connected to me yet. I'm smiling for mommy and daddy mostly after my belly is full (for mommy) or when I throw up on mommy (for daddy). Life just keeps getting better!
