Lew has adjusted wonderfully to being a big sister! She was pretty emotional and had several melt downs when we first got home from the hospital but she has always been very loving and interested in her baby brother. She's always touching him and hugging him and stealing his Soothies and trying to stick them in his mouth and giving him some of her "tea". Some sweet things she says to him: "bless you, buddy" after he sneezes, "kiss baby brother" "I love you, buddy" "Look at that buddy" "night, night buddy" some other cute stuff this month: daddy said his belly hurt and without missing a beat she hugged his leg and said "feel better" She asks "wanna sing a song?" and says "don't be silly" and also "Go Wonder Pets, yay!" She woke up from a nap and said "sprout online dot com?" She is such a smart little girl, we just love her so much and are so proud at how well she has embraced her new role as a big sister :)

Sore nips and tears and mood swings galore
where is that Soothie?
oh, down on the floor
swaddle the arms, he'll cry 'til their free
Seedy diapers and wipes
so much pee in that wee
fussing when hungry
fussing when full
fussing when tired
spit up and drool
sleep deprivation
toddler meltdowns by day
don't get me wrong
to all of this I say
I'm thankful and blessed
for this little man
for being a mommy
for God's perfect plan :-)
